ANYWAYS...I woke up this morning to a knock on my door at 6:30 for family scripture study. I knew what the knock meant, but all within the first milisecond of my conciousness, I realized that:
- it was Tueday morning
- I had to go to school
- I forgot that it was Tuesady..somehow while I was sleeping I lost all sense of when I was..
Any prep for Tuesday at all? Which brought me to another realization (again..within the first milisecond of conciousness) : School sucks. And it was raining, which generally in Mesa is conseidered a positive experience. But on a day in the middle of the week that was destined to be terrible, it just wasnt a desirable thing. I cursed school as I took each of my slow and dragging steps down the stairs this morning. I believe that the words "sucks", "ridiculous", "lame", "stupid", and "why why why why why" were used. I threw on a gray sweater..it seemed fitting for my mood. Not depressed for black..it was a blah day. And what says "blah" better than gray, I ask you..
The school day went as expected. And I was scheduled to be in to work at 4..just to add to the Blah ish ness of the already blah day. Let me just share with you the difference that a friend and a few slighly melted Reeses cups can make on such a day. The clouds melted away.....literaly. By the time school was out, the clouds and rain were gone, showing a bright blue sky with white puffy clouds shaped like dog-chickens and giant fish-eating dinosaurs. So, my day pretty much 180ed right there (and yes..i totally made a verb out of a number. I can do that because 1: this is my blog. 2: I got a 4 on my AP english test and 3: global warming). It was exactly what I needed. Work seemed less dreary and my day was looking up. I think that my good day was deep inside of me somewhere..I just needed someone to help me pull it out. And Reeses cups and a good talk can sure do the trick. They are my favorite. :)
=HOOT=
hmmm who brought you the reeses? name that rhymes with...mitt? and yes, global warming is definitely a good reason
ReplyDeleteThings are slowly turning around, aren't they? School's getting easier (or we're getting lazier) and we'll be done so quick that we won't know what hit us.
ReplyDeleteKeep your spirits up! Tour's only a month away!!!
ummm..I don't know Maidison..that might be a stretch..but possibly. I'll have to check on that rhyming concept..:)
ReplyDeleteAnd Devin..i think it is the second one..our laziness for sure. It really isnt a good thing. ( but it is enjoyable..:)
